The event, which was attended by more than 40 representatives from some of Northern Ireland's largest organisations, enabled those that are responsible for high volumes of energy, to become better informed on how and when to purchase gas and electricity in the most efficient way at the optimum time.
Michael Scott commented: “With energy issues being one of the top priorities for local businesses, we hosted this briefing to provide insight into the current trends of the global energy market and energy commodity costs, as well as update our customers on the development of the local natural gas network.”
Energy trading experts from Bord Gáis explained how current global factors will affect the cost of oil, gas and electricity in the near future, with journalist and broadcaster, Jim Fitzpatrick giving a general economic review.
