Today we are supporting Fuel Poverty Awareness Day with National Energy Action. This awareness day highlights the problems that many NI households face struggling to keep their homes warm.
National Energy Action (NEA), the fuel poverty charity, is campaigning to tackle this issue. With an estimated 294,000 NI households in fuel poverty and more than 10% of their household income going towards energy bills we take responsibility for ensuring our staff our trained to offer energy efficiency advice to our customers in an effort to reducing their energy bills. We made a commitment at an early stage to ensure that each and every one of our employees undertakes this specialist training. This course, provided by NEA has already enabled our team members to provide comprehensive energy efficiency advice to customers, which can undoubtedly help them save money and ultimately reduce their fuel bills over time.
