Switching from oil to natural gas was the perfect solution for Marion and Ken Scott from Broughshane who had grand designs for creating space for a new conservatory.
A large oil tank and an external boiler sat at an odd angle in their garden restricting stunning views over a local river that flowed to the rear of their house.
Making the change to natural gas enabled the couple to remove these eyesores and in the empty space in the garden they erected a brand
new conservatory which was in the perfect vantage point to fully enjoy these spectacular views.
Connecting the couple to the outside world the conservatory is used in summer for breezy cups of coffee providing a perfect perspective on
the goings on of wildlife, at night for relaxing under a canopy of stars and is an extra room for large family gatherings.
In winter, with the advantages of instant heat, the room provides a quiet place to curl up and get cosy and watch the great outdoors.
Marion says: “When we decided to switch to natural gas we suddenly had the potential to create a new room in our home that brings us joy
every day. This space has been transformed into a beautiful, airy part of our house, perfect for reading, eating, and lounging in the sunlight.
We’ve added much-needed extra space and natural light to our home. It really is our very own room with a view!
